How to transfer a business name?

How long does the process take?

Once your application has been submitted and all the information is correct, it usually takes 4-5 business days for the transfer to be finalised. Note: This may be delayed if you do not provide your ASIC Key and we need to get a new one issued on your behalf.

Fees and Charges

The fee to transfer a business name to a new ABN or entity is $379 and includes: cancelling the current registration of the business name in the name of the owner and re-registering the business name in the name of the new owner, including monitoring, managing and updating you on the status of the application.
